Forgive my ignorance, I’m trying to try out RadioMail’s new ARDOP functionality between my iPhone and IC705. I am able to configure the Bluetooth connection, but making the audio connection via USB has me puzzled. Can anyone elaborate on how to do this? Can I just use a regular old cable (or appropriate adapters) between my iPhone’s USB-C connector and the IC705’s micro USB or is it more complicated than that? 
You’ll need a USB-C to Micro-USB cable. Connect the USB-C end to your phone and the Micro-USB end to the radio. Your phone will recognize the radio as an external audio device.
The Bluetooth connection is used only for CAT control, since the phone cannot use USB for CAT communication with the radio.

I tried today using a USB-C to USB-A (male) cable and a Micro USB to USB-A (female) adapter that I had on hand, but that didn’t seem to work. I had the amber light on the 705 flashing when the radio was off, but no signs of communication when both were on and connected 
Maybe this adapter is the problem.
I plan on installing the iHelpU Tech USB-C / Send control board upgrade in my 705 and that will simplify things only requiring a straight USB-C cable for the connection. I’ll give this another go once I have that installed.
Okay, I’ve got a USB-C connection between my iPhone & IC705 now and when I transmit with the ARDOP modem I see that the radio is getting audio input from RadioMail and modulating the output; however, I am not able to generate any movement of the Audio Input Monitor when I check this via Settings → ARDOP Modem → Audio Input Monitor. I’ve rechecked all radio settings, especially those in Menu → Set → Connectors → USB AF/IF Output (Output Select = AF, AF Output Level = 50%, AF SQL = OFF (Open), …), but I still seem to be missing something.
