Linking to current VARA client

Steve,
Soundmodem should work fine, that is what I did my testing with.

I just send and received a bunch of test messages using Soundmodem with no problems at all.

Additional problems with Vara FM stations:
Can't search for stations with Service code other than Public, this is a big problem. (also same problem with packet)
Manually adding a Vara FM station has not option to specify Wide or Narrow. It defaults to Narrow and can't be changed.
A manually added station shows up in the favorites list, but you cannot select it for a connection.

Scott, I can confirm I am able to reproduce the bug where VaraFM and VaraHF manually entered station will not show as preset in the connect screen. Telnet and Packet work fine. Will work on a fix for next update.

Allowing arbitrary service code is on the roadmap but it apparently require some careful consideration as it touches non-amateur use of Winlink. I'm working with Lor to figure out what's required to make this happen.

BTW the wide/narrow on VaraFM is for information only. It is entirely negotiated by the Vara modem and not something that RadioMail can change. Still will consider adding to the UI for completeness but it has no functional bearing on establishing a connection, unlike the VaraHF BW mode that can be set by the client.

Yes, true. It's a UI thing - I'm thinking I want to be Wide, but it says Narrow. Maybe just remove the Wide/Narrow indication altogether. Actually, that's not right, you normally get the Wide/Narrow from the station list. I guess it is good to know what speed is supported by the station.

Fix for custom Vara FM is available with 1.2.4. When you create a station you can now specify Narrow/Wide for consistency so that custom station will be grouped properly.
