Airplane mode and wifi

Got my TNC4 up and running on a VX-6R and my iPhone 13 pro max and also my Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 running Windows 10.

I noticed Radiomail would generate an error if I put my iPhone in airplane mode and turned off wifi. It would connect, but but generate an error and quit.

Your thoughts?

I was wondering the same thing. I was hoping to use this as a grid-down tool to send email. So, needing to have access to the internet or cell service kind of defeats the purpose of my use case.... I'm using an HT, TNC4, and Radio Mail for IOS.

Oh, there was no internet connection. Wifi was not connected to anything. I think it is just a bug. I'm actually pretty impressed by Radiomail. I like that it runs in the background on my phone and polls for mail. I don't have to manually check my email that way.

Yes, RadioMail does not require Internet when paired with a TNC. Rick, can you provide more details about the error you're getting?

I just tried it again and did not get an error.
