I am trying to use the BTECH UV Pro with Radiomail.

I have the connectivity working and the radio is changing frequency to match the station I am trying to reach via packet.

I am not having much luck connecting, I have the squelch set to 0 on the UV Pro.

And FYI in the same location using a BB Link and D74 I am able to pretty reliably connect to the same stations that are not working with the UV Pro.

From RadioMail’s perspective, the BLE interfaces to the BTECH UV-PRO and the B.B. Link adapter are functionally identical. They both expose a KISS TNC.

The practical differences in your setup come from the packet TNC modem implementation (AFSK modulation, packet decoding, buffering, etc.), as well as the radio hardware and antenna.

Assuming features such as Roger beep and squelch tail elimination are disabled on the UV-PRO, any remaining variance might simply due to radio performance.
