Hello group! I have been having a hard (yet still fun) time trying to creat a Vara HF hotspot like Georges did in a YouTube video. I’m not a programmer but I am soooo close to success. I have a radio make by Mr BG2FX called the FX4CR, is an SDR QRP radio with built in sound card. The manual said it’s supposed to mimic the Kenwood TS-590s radio in digital settings. It works great with JS8call and Winklink express.
So far everything is working but I’m a total nooob when it comes to the Hamlib/rgctld aspect. I have been researching and trying every kind of config arguments in rgctl to get my radio talking to me but it keeps ending up in dummy#1 radio mode and returning a frequency of 14500000. I need to get the configs right so I can input that into my varanny .json file!
In other digital programs what I enter is this and it works great:
Radio Kenwood ts 590s
USB Digital
No handshake
Com3
Baud rate 115200
PTT is on the same com3
My config for rgctl is -m 2031 -r com3 -s 115200 -vvvv
I just can’t get it to return anything!
If anyone can help or has experience with the FX4CR please help!
Thank you!
