Since purchasing BB link I haven’t successfully connected. I’ve attempted to send packet radio mail from several locations and several different stations with no success. Each attempt ends with “could not establish connection”. i’m out of ideas of how to troubleshoot this problem.
Are you able to successfully connect and send mail with another device, without using the BB Link? Are you able to monitor the frequency to see if you’re getting traffic back from the station you are trying to connect with? You could also sue another radio and computer to monitor the packets.
If you can monitor the connection on another radio, that is indeed the best way to figure out if you’re even reaching the station. More often than not, you need either a better antenna on your HT or to move closer to that station.
