Enhancement Request: Ability to ‘disable/enable’ Auxiliary and Tactical addresses per client

Using shared auxiliary and tactical addresses across multiple users. Requesting an ability to disable/enable use on a per radiomail instance. This avoids the unintended download of messages from those addresses and subsequent deletion of those msg’s from CMS. Behavior would mimic WLE’s options.

Alternatively, syncing with CMS (like IMAP), may be a better solution, so that concurrent access to shared mailboxes and addresses (primary, auxiliary and tactical), can be performed.

Can you describe a little more detail the envisioned user workflow for toggling a tactical address? For instance, what determines whether you want to turn it on or off? Once it's off, how would you remember to turn it back on?

The common use case would be staffing a tactical location that is operating over many operational periods. An operator may staff first shift and need to use a tactical call for the location. They would be relieved by another operator during the next operational period, and would turn over the tactical call to the relief operator. The same first operator would then be back after a rest period, and would again take over the tactical call.

In Winlink Express, once a tactical call is added, it stays in the user's settings and can be enabled and disabled easily (a simple checkbox). Tactical calls can be removed from a user's settings when no longer needed.

Georges, Scott’s response covers the use case. Thanks.
