Anyone know how to configure radiomail to sync mail with CMS/or mailbox, rather than download and delete?
Our club has a tactical winlink address, who's access is shared among members.
We all need to be able to 'see' the mail in the inbox, but not remove it from until someone deletes it.
Winlink mail is like POP3 rather than IMAP and mail cannot be held on the server after pickup.

Rick, assuming you could have a magical way to share messages for a tactical call sign, would it be acceptable if each operator gets a copy of the message? Sort of like a distribution list?
1. Operator A retrieves a message addressed to tactical call from the CMS. It shows in the Inbox.
2. After a few seconds, Operator B sees the message in their Inbox as well.
They can each response, archive or delete as they see fit.
It would require the Internet for this to work but would handle being offline gracefully where data becomes eventually consistent, meaning if an operator is offline, messages catch up once they get back online. It would be basically an "internet assist" so that operator who have the tactical callsign enabled, could still get messages that other operators are fetching from the CMS. It's no worst than today, and potentially much better even with intermittent Internet.
Georges, thank you for the response. Clarification, I submitted two separate enhancement requests:
1- Mailbox CMS (this one)
2- Aux/Tactical mailbox enable/Disable (separate topic)
I’d envision mailbox sync to function on CMS only.
Personal, aux and tactical mailboxes
Personal: I use Radiomail on two iOS devices and WLE on two PC’s. I would like to have my mailbox (inbox, sent and folders) available and in sync across each. Behavior would mimic how you use email from gmail, yahoo, and other email providers.
Shared mailboxes: We share duties managing the Club callsign’s winlink mailbox, as well as tactical. If there was a CMS sync option, New/unread msg’s are bolded, opened are not. Handled msg’s can be moved to folder, sent msgs are for all to see.
Seeking behavior that somewhat mimic Outlook or your favorite email client and your favorite email provider.
David, thanks for the perspective, I agree that duplicating the message if they are actionable would lead to more confusion than it is helpful.
Rick, I don't know that CMS protocol will change any time soon to enable this functionality. In the meantime, I'm working on adding sync in RadioMail so that your messages and other preferences will be in sync across devices.
Georges, thanks. If Syncing across devices:
1- can be enabled/disabled on a per device/ / per-callsign basis,
2- syncs all folders,
3- and independent on who is signed in to the device,
then the net affect appears to be ‘syncing with cms’.
Scenario:
1- Two iOS devices, owned by different users, and signed-on by two different users.
2- Both devices configured to have the same AUX or TACTICAL address configured.
3- Both devices have their AUX or TACTICAL addresses ‘enabled’, like WLE can.
4- Both devices have enabled ‘sync’ on their AUX or TACTICAL addresses.
User1 connects and ‘downloads’ and removes msg’s from CMS (I assume all folders, and inbox)
User1 device then syncs the downloaded msgs somewhere?
User2 connects to CMS, finds no new msgs, however then ‘syncs’ with User1’s downloaded msgs.
Both User1 and 2 show the same unread msg’s in the Aux or Tactical mailboxes.
User1 replies and deletes a msg in the Aux or Tactical mailboxes.
User2 syncs and reflects the changes User1 made.
Functionally this behavior mimics how we use shared/team mailboxes as work, or the shared mailbox my wife and I have.
People in shared roles will figure out how to manage their workflows. But the technology shouldn’t be denying shared/team members from working in parallel when the load is too much for one person, someone steps away, or looses connectivity.
Syncing will be a great addition to teams/shared mailboxes if distinct iOS users can be supported.
