I’m trying to use the internal softmodem using an iPhone16, a DIGIRIG Lite and a FTM300.
App version 1.4.0.
All setting using ‘sane’ parameter settings.
In initial testing I will get occasional TX hangs where PTT is asserted but no audio is being transmitted. Cancel does noting, have to kill the app.
I usually can get one session to complete successfully after the app was killed and restarted.
It seems repeatable if I do one connect and transfer (ending successfully with FQ), and then try to do a second connection it will do an initial transmission, starts to get the remote station going but soft modes get stuck transmitting nothing wile PTT is asserted. If I unplug the subs cable I can hear a tone which I believe is the PTT enable tone.
Also if I cancel a session in progress the next session will hang.
Aloha Rolf. Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. There had been report of PTT getting stuck during the beta and I hoped that I had eliminated, but evidently there might still be some issues.
I was able to reproduce a PTT stuck by cancelling a previous session. I've made some minor adjustments to the priority thread to cancel the PTT. With that change I was not able to get it stuck anymore. Would you be willing to test a beta build on TestFlight and see if that fix it for you? If so just DM your email address and I'll add you to the list.
Also, can you confirm you're using the DigiRig Lite with the USB-C connector (not the earlier USB-A stick)?
Tried the beta build 1.4.0 (20), still problem with PTT hang.
Canceling message seems more reliable.
However, I can reproduce by doing multiple ‘receive sessions’ back to back.
I would say 1 in 5 cause PTT hang on first package sent.
Previous sessions completed ok.
So it looks like it is still a low probability chance of PTT hangs.
