Anyone having issues connecting to VARA FM after the latest version update? It was working before but after the lates release I can no longer connect to my VARA FM modem session running on a computer on my local WiFi network.
I also tried to use it with VARA HF on another computer but it will not connect with that one either although that is the first time I tried on HF so can not say if it was working before this update.

Confirmed 0.3.1 working fine with Vara FM. Most likely a networking problem. Perhaps the computer running Vara FM IP address changed?
I’m struggling. How do I get RadioMail to “see” VARA HF running on my Win11 laptop? In Settings under “VARA HF Modem” I put in the IP address of the laptop and the stock Cmd Port 8300 and Data Port 8301.
After creating a test email, I select the envelope to initiate a send. WL2K [TELNET] cms.winlink.org:8772 pops up. I want to use an HF station nearby so I unfavorited WL2K and added the HF station as favorite. Still WL2K pops up.
All the while, VARA HF is disconnected. It never notices that I want to use it for a data QSO.
Is there a guide somewhere on how this works?

Once a station is in your favorites, you can select one of the station "channel" to connect to. A channel is a specific frequency and mode that this station supports.
On the exchange screen, tap Favorites. Then select the mode you're interested in, Vara HF. Then select the particular channel you want.
OK, that got me connecting to the VARA HF server. I can see it wake up and attempt the connection to the HF digipeater, but nothing happening at the radio.
I assume I have to install rigctld to get this happening? Is there any reference on that piece of software and its configuration with Radiomail?

Yes, CAT control needs to be setup independently for Vara HF.

I'd suggest you start with running `rigctl` interactively in the command line and make sure you can control PTT on your radio. Once you know you have the right settings, run the same parameter with `rigctld`
IP address was the first thing I checked using ifconfig at command line but it was correct.
I was momentarily confused and was thinking that for RadioMail to work via VARA FM I needed to have a Winlink session running on the computer for it to connect to. Of course VARA FM modem could not reply since it was already busy with the session on the computer.
Once I shut down Winlink on the computer and just opened VARA FM on it’s own it started working again as before.
I am having an issue where radiomail won’t connect to varafm 90% of the time. When it eventually does, the radio wont ptt. I am using a digirig lite and an HT. When I use winlink express the radio will ptt and everything is well. Does anyone have any idea why it wont work with radiomail?
