RadioMail Connection Issues with Winlink Nodes

Product: RadioMail

Environment:
App Version: 1.5.3, OS Version: 26.4.2, Radio Device Model: Yaesu FT-70D

Issue:
User is unable to connect to Winlink nodes using RadioMail, despite successful connections with the same setup on Windows 10. The DigiRig Lite interface sometimes connects briefly or transmits a carrier without data.

Category: RF Station or Node Connectivity

Steps tried:

  • Ensured Bluetooth is enabled and RadioMail has permission to access it.
  • Verified that the DigiRig Lite is properly connected and recognized in KISS TNC settings.
  • Checked audio levels for both input and output on DigiRig Lite.

Notes:
No error messages are displayed. User has already checked Bluetooth permissions and DigiRig Lite settings.

I thought I would try the Kai interface. Radiomail has been universally disapponting ever since I tried using it, but every once in a while I will waste a few hours going through all the annoying steps troubleshooting to always get the same result. Regardless of what radio I choose, Radiomail will a)not connect, B) connect very briefly, or C) transmit carrier without data. I am using DigiRig Lite for Yaesu HT and Anytone HT. Using USB cable for Yaesu FTX-1. To be clear, all radios connect perfectly when used with Winlink software on a Windows 10 laptop + the DigiRig Lite. If you have a troubleshooting suggestion I have not tried, I would love to hear it. The IOS device I use is an iPad Mini 7, details above.
