RadioMail to B.B. Link Connection

Greetings All, recently built my own B.B. Link interface and I was able to successfully pair it with my Kenwood TH-74A. I also have the slow “breathing” blue LED that the install notes says is the pairing indicator for when it connects to RadioMail on my iPhone.

In the Packet KISS TNC Modem section of Settings on RadioMail, B.B. Link is not being discovered in teh Default TNC section. Can someone please advise me on what to check or do to correct this?

espBoard version I flashed is 2.0.14

RadioMail ver: 1.6.1(2)

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere, but I did not find it if it was.

Most likely culprits:

  • Another app is already connected to the adapter, i.e. B.B. Link configurator is still open or running in the background
  • RadioMail was not granted permission to access Bluetooth, i.e. you denied it when it asked you and forgot about it
  • Your esp board does not support BLE (unlikely)

I found and resolved the issue…. Sigh…. I had to go into the iPhone setup for the RadioLink app and allow the app to use Bluetooth. I clicked that switch and it all came up and is working fine….
