I’m using Radio Messenger on an iPad, and connecting to a bluetooth TNC on the Kenwood TH-D75 using a BB Link adapter. I can get connected find, and send a message fine. But when the ipad locks its screen after being idle, my TH-D75 switches from FM KISS mode to AM no digital mode.
Anybody else seeing something like this?
B.B. link will restore frequency / mode when app disconnects, which should happen after iPad locks. In the TH-D75 each VFO remembers mode for a given frequency range.
Is it possible that before Radio Messenger connect, the VFO is in AM on a certain frequency? If that’s the case that’s what it would be restored to.
This was exactly it. I kinda forgot that the BB Link uses VFO mode, and if you have a memory recalled, it goes back to VFO mode. Thanks for the tip and the reminder.
