Using Call Sign Suffix or Prefix in Radiomail

I am traveling and need to use a prefix with my call sign for a few months. Radiomail does not allow a country prefix like “XX/” and returns error to use a proper call sign.

Is there a way to use a prefix or suffix for callsigns?

Thank you,

Harley

As far as I understand, you don’t change your callsign in the client, as this is tied to your Winlink account.

Winlink seems to have an option to add a prefix / suffix that will be used for radio identification (winlink.org > My Account).

Alternatively, looks like you can set those options via email:

To: Options@winlink.org
Subject: Options
ALTERNATE: SMTP: [alternate email address]
MAX SIZE: [compressed maximum message size in bytes]
PREFIX: [use this out-of-country prefix with my callsign]
SUFFIX: [use this out-of-country suffix with my callsign]

Thank you. I will work on your suggestion. For the email setting option, do you think you just change the parameter you want to switch, in this case add Prefix? When I try to use the Prefix in Radiomail (LA/KK7HMS) it is rejected right away.

I have accomplished this through your first suggestion at Winlink.ORG My Account. How do I now make this functional in Radiomail or is it automatic? Do I need to change anything in Radiomail?

Thank you,

Nothing else need to change

How does Radiomail incorporate the prefix when sending to a packet station? Would I need to change in the Radiomail app?
